The House of Representatives has officially exonerated the Republic of Togo from any wrongdoing in the fake academic certificates controversy that previously shook Nigeria's education sector.
During an investigative hearing, House Committee Chairman, Bitrus Laori, revealed that diplomatic confirmations from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs have validated Togo's educational credibility.
Meanwhile, the committee is now shifting focus to the Republic of Benin, where an alleged certificate forgery syndicate is reportedly at work, with a new hearing scheduled for July 10, 2025.
