Nollywood actress Angela Okorie has revealed that fragments from a bullet fired during an assassination attempt in 2019 remain lodged in her head, causing ongoing health complications.
In a series of social media posts accompanied by footage from her recent hospital visits, the actress disclosed that she has spent the past two weeks undergoing extensive medical tests due to persistent health issues. She added that her doctor has since advised her to remain on bed rest.
According to Okorie, recent scans revealed additional bullet fragments in her head, which she said have contributed to blurry vision and frequent headaches.
“The last two weeks have been so hectic, lovers,” she wrote. “I’ve been moving from one hospital to another, undergoing several tests on my head and body. I haven’t been feeling well, and my doctor advised bed rest. Good health is seriously underrated.
“I found out there are still fragments of bullets in my head. As the years pass, more fragments continue to surface. But at the end of the day, God shows mercy. He is truly with me. May His name be praised. Amen. #LegitQueen.”
Okorie survived a gun attack in December 2019, during which she sustained multiple injuries to her head. She has repeatedly claimed that the assault was orchestrated by individuals within the Nollywood industry and has vowed never to forgive those behind the incident.
