Nigerian singer Adekunle Kosoko, popularly known as Adekunle Gold, has dismissed online rumours suggesting he recently underwent a bone marrow transplant.
The speculation began after a post surfaced on social media platform X, claiming that the artist had undergone the procedure to manage a health condition. The post stated: “Yes, he has, but since he’s had a bone marrow transplant, I don’t think it affects him that much anymore.”
In a swift response, the singer debunked the claim, taking to his own X handle to clarify the misinformation.
“It is how you people will just say things you don’t even know with so much confidence. No, I haven’t had a bone marrow transplant,” he wrote.
The rumours may have stemmed from Adekunle Gold’s previous revelation about his battle with sickle cell anaemia, which he publicly shared in his 2022 song “5 Star.” In the track, he opened up about the emotional and physical challenges of living with the condition.
Despite his openness about sickle cell, the artist made it clear that no such medical procedure has taken place, urging the public to avoid spreading unverified information.
