Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun, has declared today, February 3, 2026, a public holiday to mark the state’s 50th anniversary.
The announcement was made by the Secretary to the State Government, Tokunbo Talabi, who said the holiday will enable residents to participate fully in the Golden Jubilee celebrations.
Ogun State, created on February 3, 1976, will mark the milestone with activities reflecting on its history, celebrating progress, and projecting a prosperous future, with the governor urging citizens to celebrate in unity and peace.
