The Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA), in partnership with NEMA, has begun post-disaster recovery support for victims of the Great Nigeria Insurance House fire on Martins Street, Lagos Island.

As part of the process, LASEMA is conducting a victim enumeration exercise from February 9 to 13 at the Adeyemi Bero Centre, Ikeja, to document those affected and coordinate relief efforts.

The fire, which broke out on December 24, 2025, destroyed goods worth millions and claimed multiple lives, prompting a controlled demolition of the building to prevent further danger.
