Nigeria women's national football team bounced back from their first-leg loss to defeat the Cameroon women's national football team 3-1 in Yaoundé in their pre-WAFCON friendly.

After falling 1-nil days earlier, the Falcons responded strongly despite conceding in the seventh minute.

Chinwendu Ihezuo equalised in the 32nd minute from a Rinsola Babajide cross, before Babajide put Nigeria ahead just before half-time.

Michelle Alozie sealed the win in the 64th minute with a header from captain Rasheedat Ajibade’s delivery, completing a dominant turnaround under coach Justine Madugu.

Both sides used the two-match series to prepare for the upcoming Women’s Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco.
