President Bola Tinubu has approved the promotion of one of his close and trusted allies, Alhaji Ibrahim Kabiru Masari, to the position of Special Adviser on Political Affairs.
Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, announced this on Thursday in a statement on the official website of the presidency.
Tinubu had initially appointed Masari as his Senior Special Assistant on Political Affairs in 2023.
Before securing appointments at the federal level, the Katsina-born politician had served as the welfare secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC) during the tenure of the former Governor of Edo State, Senator Adams Oshiomhole as party chairman.
As Special Adviser on Political Affairs, Masari’s responsibilities will see him work alongside Alhaji Yau Darazo, who was appointed to the same office by President Tinubu in July 2023
