Minister of State for Finance Taiwo Oyedele has described his appointment as a duty to Nigeria at a time of serious fiscal challenges.
Oyedele said his over two decades of experience across government, multilateral institutions and the private sector will help strengthen fiscal governance and economic transformation.
He previously chaired the Presidential Committee on Fiscal Policy and Tax Reforms, which helped design Nigeria’s new tax laws that took effect on January 1 to improve revenue generation and attract investment.
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu nominated him to succeed Doris Uzoka-Anite, who now serves as Minister of Budget and National Planning.
