The Ondo State Government has banned commercial motorcycle operations between 7 p.m. and 6 a.m. as part of new measures to curb rising insecurity.

Commander of the Amotekun Corps, Adetunji Adeleye, said criminals often use motorcycles for kidnapping, robbery and other crimes.

He added that operators must register with Amotekun within two weeks or pay ₦20,000 to regularise their operations.

Authorities also announced a ban on cart-pushing in major cities, roadside display of farm produce in unauthorised locations, and new regulations on scrap metal activities.
