President of the Senate, Godswill Akpabio, has assured Nigerians that tackling insecurity remains a top priority for the Federal Government.

Speaking at the inauguration of a sub-committee of the All Progressives Congress National Convention Planning Committee, Akpabio said the government is working with international partners to address security challenges and restore safety across the country.

He also urged Nigerians to support national development by promoting local production and consumption amid global economic and political tensions.
