The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, has ordered the demolition of a residential estate in Guzape, Abuja, built on land originally designated for a park and recreation centre.

Wike said the development violates the city’s master plan and promised the government would revoke approvals and enforce planning laws, regardless of who is involved.

He also warned that some illegal projects succeed due to insider collaboration but pledged strict action against such practices.

During an inspection tour, he reviewed ongoing road projects across the FCT, including key links between Karsana, Kubwa, Kuje, and Gwagwalada, describing them as crucial for transport connectivity and community development.
