All public and private primary and secondary schools, as well as government technical colleges in Ogun State, are to resume for the third term of the 2025/2026 academic session on Monday.

The state Ministry of Education, Science and Technology disclosed this in a statement issued on April 22, 2026.

The statement was signed by the Commissioner for Education, Science and Technology, Prof. Abayomi Arigbabu.

The ministry said the resumption date is in line with the approved Ogun State academic calendar for the 2025/2026 session.

It urged parents and guardians to ensure that their wards return to school promptly, noting that academic activities would commence immediately.

“Parents and guardians are enjoined to prepare their wards for immediate resumption as academic work will start without any delay,” the statement read.

Schools in the state had earlier gone on break after the completion of second term academic activities.

The third term marks the final phase of the 2025/2026 academic session in Ogun State, during which schools typically complete syllabuses and conduct promotion and external examinations.
