Akwa Ibom State Governor Umo Eno has urged political actors to focus on issue-based campaigns ahead of the 2027 general elections, warning against insults and divisive rhetoric.

Speaking at a prayer summit in Uyo, the governor said elections should be driven by ideas and development records, stressing that political power belongs to God.

He also called for unity and peaceful political engagement, urging citizens and leaders to maintain decorum as the state prepares for the next election cycle.
