A military court in Guinea-Bissau has ordered opposition leader Domingos Simoes Pereira back to house arrest after questioning him over alleged coup plots against the military government.

Pereira, leader of the PAIGC, was detained following the November 2024 coup and has previously faced accusations of involvement in multiple attempted overthrows.

His lawyer denies the allegations, insisting he had no role in any plot to destabilise the country.
