President Bola Tinubu has been tasked to identify and prosecute sponsors of kidnapping, terrorism, and banditry across the country.

The Nigeria Society of Criminology made the call at its 2026 international conference.

The group’s president, Professor Oludayo Tade, said Tinubu must intensify efforts to protect lives and demonstrate stronger political will to tackle insecurity.

Experts at the event warned that worsening violence is eroding public confidence and urged urgent action to restore safety nationwide.
