The Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) says it will begin enforcing statutory requirements on the contents of company business letters from August 1, 2026, warning that defaulting companies will face sanctions.
Under the Companies and Allied Matters Act 2020, companies must display their registered name, registration number, directors’ names, any former names, and the nationality of every non-Nigerian director on invoices, quotations, official correspondence and other business documents.
The Commission urged all registered companies to comply before the enforcement date to avoid penalties.
