Morocco coach Mohamed Ouahbi says the Atlas Lions are no longer the surprise team in world football as they prepare to face France today in the 2026 FIFA World Cup quarter-finals.

France, led by Kylian Mbappe, head into the clash as favourites after edging Paraguay in the Round of 16, but Morocco are confident of causing an upset following their impressive run to the last eight.

The Atlas Lions will rely on the experience of goalkeeper Yassine Bounou and captain Achraf Hakimi as they seek a place in the World Cup semi-finals.
