France coach Didier Deschamps has confirmed that FIFA has rejected the team’s appeal against Michael Olise’s yellow card received in the World Cup Round of 16 victory over Paraguay.

The decision means Olise will go into today’s quarter-final against Morocco with one booking away from suspension for a potential semi-final.

Bradley Barcola and Manu Kone also face the same disciplinary risk.

Deschamps said FIFA informed the team that the booking would stand despite France’s appeal.
