The fourth batch of Nigerians returning from South Africa has arrived at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos, aboard an Air Peace flight.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs said the flight conveyed 284 passengers, including 272 adults and 12 infants, as part of the Federal Government’s voluntary evacuation exercise following rising anti-immigrant protests in South Africa.

The returnees were received by government officials and have commenced documentation and reintegration procedures. The government says the evacuation is aimed at providing safety for Nigerians affected by the unrest
