Inspector General of Police, Tunji Disu, has called for stronger international collaboration to address emerging security threats across the world.

Speaking at the Fifth United Nations Chiefs of Police Summit in New York, Disu said technologies such as artificial intelligence and digital forensics are important tools for modern policing but cannot replace public trust.

The IGP urged greater cooperation, capacity building and equal access to digital policing tools to help countries effectively tackle increasingly sophisticated criminal networks.
