World number one Jannik Sinner successfully defended his Wimbledon title after defeating Alexander Zverev 6-7, 7-6, 6-3, 6-4 in Sunday’s men’s singles final.

The Italian recovered from losing the opening set to claim his fifth Grand Slam title, producing a dominant display to overcome the French Open champion in just under four hours.

The victory extends Sinner’s impressive season and cements his position as the world number one, while Zverev will rise to second in the ATP rankings despite the defeat.
