President Bola Tinubu has congratulated Andy Burnham on his inauguration as the new Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, expressing confidence that his administration will strengthen the longstanding partnership between Nigeria and the UK.

Tinubu also praised the peaceful transfer of power in the UK and said he looks forward to working with Prime Minister Burnham through bilateral engagements and the Commonwealth to advance shared interests.

The President reaffirmed Nigeria’s commitment to deepening cooperation with the United Kingdom in areas including trade, security, education, healthcare and other mutual priorities.
