The Ogun State Government, in collaboration with the International Centre for Migration Policy Development (ICMPD), has launched a public awareness campaign to mark the 2026 World Day Against Human Trafficking, urging residents to embrace safe and legal migration.

Speaking during the sensitisation exercise, the State Attorney General and Chairman of the Task Force on Human Trafficking, Oluwasina Ogungbade, represented by Akolawole Soremi, said the government remains committed to combating human trafficking through public enlightenment, partnerships and stronger institutional support.

Officials from NAPTIP, NACTAL, the Ministry of Education and ICMPD also urged parents and residents to be vigilant, avoid deceptive migration offers, report suspected trafficking cases and ensure children are protected from exploitation through education and awareness.
