The Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) says the Federal Government and other agencies owe its leader, Nnamdi Kanu, a total of ₦9.5 billion in damages from court judgments which it claims remain unappealed.

In a statement by its spokesperson, Emma Powerful, the group said the judgments were secured by Kanu’s lawyer, Aloy Ejimakor, in Nigerian and international courts, alleging that the rulings have not been obeyed by the government.

IPOB maintained that the judgments and international decisions strengthened its legal position and defended Ejimakor’s record, while the Federal Government has not publicly responded to the latest claims.
