First Lady Oluremi Tinubu has called on Saudi Arabia to partner with Nigeria in providing formal education for Almajiri and out-of-school children, warning that neglecting them could worsen insecurity.
Speaking during a meeting with the Saudi Arabian Ambassador in Abuja, the First Lady advocated combining Islamic education with formal Western learning to equip vulnerable children with skills and better opportunities.
The Saudi Ambassador, Yousef Mohammed Al-Balawi, welcomed the proposal and reaffirmed his country’s commitment to strengthening cooperation with Nigeria in education and other areas.
