The Ogun State Government says it has revived all six forest reserves that were previously moribund, as part of efforts to tackle climate change and restore degraded ecosystems.

Governor Dapo Abiodun, represented by his deputy, Noimot Salako-Oyedele, said tree planting is essential to protecting the environment and ensuring sustainable development.

The government urged residents, schools and organisations to plant and nurture trees, stressing their importance in improving air quality, preventing erosion and protecting biodiversity.
