Arsenal have won the first silverware of the 2026/27 season after thrashing Manchester City three-nil in the Community Shield in Cardiff.

Riccardo Calafiori opened the scoring, before a Kai Havertz header forced an own goal from City goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma.

Martin Odegaard completed the victory with Arsenal’s third goal, as the Premier League champions begin their title defence against Coventry City on Friday.
