Abia State Governor, Alex Otti, has directed the immediate harmonisation of the 2023 and 2025 CONMESS salary structures for medical workers at the Abia State University Teaching Hospital, Aba.

Otti gave the directive during a meeting with the hospital’s board and management, stressing the need to prioritise the welfare and working conditions of healthcare professionals.

The governor said his administration remains committed to improving healthcare delivery, noting that the state consistently allocates 15 per cent of its annual budget to the health sector.
