The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, has pledged to improve the conduct of the 2027 general elections, following commendations for the August 15 Osun governorship poll.

INEC National Commissioner and Chairman, Information/Voter Education Committee, Mohammed Haruna, gave the assurance in Abuja while receiving a delegation of political parties, civil society groups, community and youth leaders, who praised the commission’s handling of the election.

Haruna said INEC remains committed to free, fair and credible elections, promising that the 2027 general elections will be an improvement on the Osun experience.
