The Sokoto State Government has urged political parties and other stakeholders to stop politicising insecurity, saying the fight against criminal elements requires collective action.

The Special Adviser to Governor Ahmed Aliyu on Security Matters, Colonel Ahmed Usman, said the reported threats against residents of Kebbe Local Government Area were being taken seriously by security agencies and the government.

Usman urged residents to remain calm and vigilant, while calling for cooperation and intelligence sharing among communities, traditional rulers and security agencies to prevent attacks and protect lives and property.
