The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA, says international drug cartels are attempting to establish industrial methamphetamine laboratories in forests across Ogun and Oyo states.

NDLEA spokesperson, Femi Babafemi, said Mexican-linked criminal networks are collaborating with Nigerian syndicates to set up the hidden drug labs, with some suspects already arrested.

He said the agency is intensifying surveillance and intelligence-led operations to dismantle the networks, adding that traffickers are increasingly using neighbouring countries and online platforms to evade detection.
