Nigeria has facilitated the return of former Sierra Leone President, Ernest Bai Koroma, to Freetown after more than two years of temporary relocation to Nigeria.
Foreign Affairs Minister, Bianca Odumegwu-Ojukwu, said Koroma’s return followed a regional diplomatic process involving ECOWAS, Nigeria and other stakeholders, aimed at promoting peace and reconciliation in Sierra Leone.
The minister, accompanied by former Presidents Olusegun Obasanjo and Goodluck Jonathan, said Nigeria remains committed to regional peace, democratic stability and constitutional order.
