The Federal Government says it plans to extend rail services from Abuja to Kaduna, Zaria, Kano, Daura and Katsina by January next year.

Permanent Secretary, Federal Ministry of Transportation, Olufunsho Adebiyi, said the expansion would create fresh employment opportunities and boost transport infrastructure.

Speaking at the Nigerian Institute of Transport Technology convocation in Zaria, Adebiyi urged graduates to acquire relevant skills to take advantage of emerging opportunities in the sector.
