The Academic Staff Union of Universities, ASUU, has declared an indefinite strike across LASU, LASUED and LASUSTECH, following the expiration of its 14-day ultimatum to the Lagos State Government.

The union said the government failed to begin meaningful negotiations before the September 13 deadline, with its major demand being the full implementation of the December 2025 ASUU-Federal Government agreement in the state-owned universities.

ASUU said the strike will continue until the issues are resolved, urging students and parents to remain calm. It also called on stakeholders to support efforts to resolve the dispute.
