The Ogun State Water Corporation has commenced a major crackdown on illegal water connections, meter bypasses and unauthorised service lines across the state.

Special Adviser on SDGs and Water Resources, Damilola Otubanjo, says illegal connections by unaccredited plumbers are denying the corporation revenue and disrupting water supply to paying customers.

She urged residents with unauthorised connections to regularise them immediately, warning that offenders risk heavy penalties and prosecution.
