Former world number one doubles player Joe Salisbury has retired from professional tennis at the age of 34, ending a career that produced six Grand Slam doubles titles and 17 tour-level trophies.
Salisbury chose the US Open as his final tournament and reached the semi-finals with long-time partner Rajeev Ram.
The pair made history in 2023 by becoming the first team to win three consecutive US Open men’s doubles titles.
The Briton also won the 2020 Australian Open and two mixed doubles Grand Slam titles.
