Aviation Minister Festus Keyamo has alleged that suspected supporters of the Nigeria Democratic Congress, NDC, looted shops and destroyed campaign billboards in Effurun, Uvwie Local Government Area of Delta State, on Friday, September 18.

Keyamo said the attackers destroyed billboards linked to Tompolo’s campaign organisation and allegedly entered shops with weapons to loot goods.

He also alleged that some law-enforcement officers accompanied the attackers, a claim that has not been independently established.

The minister said he would petition the Inspector-General of Police, Olatunji Disu, for a thorough investigation and prosecution of anyone found culpable.
