Junior tennis talents from states, academies and clubs across Nigeria are showcasing their skills at the Sapetro Futures Tennis Championship at Mainland Tennis Club, Lagos.

The tournament, which kicked off yesterday, features six categories for boys and girls aged 12, 14 and 16.

Kwara’s 10-year-old Mariam Bello defeated Ibadan’s Venus Babalola 9-5, while Oyo’s Isaac Blue beat Tade Agunbiade of Calabar Sports Club 9-4.

Players will contest three round-robin matches, with qualifiers advancing to Friday’s semi-finals.

The finals hold Saturday from noon at the same venue.
