President Bola Tinubu has assured local and foreign investors of regulatory clarity, policy stability and a predictable business environment to support long-term investment in Nigeria.
Tinubu stated this in Paris, France, during the signing of agreements between the Ogun State Government and DP World for the development of the Ogun State Blue Marine Special Economic Zone and Gateway Deep Seaport, with an initial investment of more than seven billion dollars.
The projects are expected to create over 50,000 direct jobs, boost non-oil exports and ease pressure on Lagos ports.
The proposed seaport at Ogun Waterside will feature a four-kilometre berth and 18-metre draft, while the special economic zone will cover 10,000 hectares.
