The Lagos State Government has commended residents for continued participation in the monthly environmental sanitation exercise, saying it is helping strengthen environmental responsibility across the state.

Commissioner for Environment and Water Resources Tokunbo Wahab acknowledged concerns over delays in waste evacuation, adding that the government is exploring innovative measures to improve waste management and speed up evacuation.

Wahab urged residents to take greater responsibility for their surroundings and stop indiscriminate refuse dumping, stressing that keeping Lagos clean is a shared responsibility.
