The APC governorship candidate in Oyo State, Senator Sharafadeen Alli, has accused Governor Seyi Makinde of paralysing the local government system in the state.

Alli, through his campaign’s Director of Media and Publicity, Bisi Oladele, alleged that Makinde lacked confidence in local governments, which he said had affected their effectiveness in grassroots development.

The senator, who represents Oyo South in the National Assembly, described the alleged situation as a long-standing problem under the governor’s administration, while calling for stronger local government structures.
