Vice President Kashim Shettima has called for a more conducive business environment for Nigerian women, saying they deserve an economy that supports their work and ambitions.
Speaking in Katsina, Shettima flagged off the Community Investment Fund under the Nigeria for Women Programme Scale-Up, with over 40,000 women eligible for business capital.
He urged beneficiaries to invest wisely, keep proper records and maintain their savings culture.
Governor Dikko Radda said Katsina has committed an additional four billion naira to the programme, bringing its total commitment to eight billion naira.
Shettima also inaugurated 32 CNG buses, 200 electric tricycles and completed road projects in Katsina metropolis.
