Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu has called for deeper economic and diplomatic ties between Lagos and the United States to expand opportunities for businesses and strengthen engagement with the Nigerian diaspora.
Sanwo-Olu made the call when the US Consul General in Lagos, Brandon Hudspeth, paid him a courtesy visit at Lagos House, Marina.
He said the recent Sister-State Agreement between Lagos and California provides new opportunities for collaboration.
The discussions focused on trade, technology, innovation, the creative economy and support for Nigerian-American businesses.
Hudspeth, who previously served in Lagos from 2020 to 2022, expressed optimism about further strengthening US-Nigeria relations.
