Manchester City striker Erling Haaland is an injury doubt for Sunday’s Premier League clash with Liverpool after limping off during Norway’s 2-1 defeat to Portugal.

Haaland signalled to the bench before being substituted in the 67th minute, with Jørgen Strand Larsen taking his place.

The extent of the injury is yet to be confirmed, with the forward having scored seven goals this season.

Portugal came from behind to win through João Cancelo and Gonçalo Ramos after Kristoffer Ajer had given Norway the lead.

City will await further medical updates on Haaland ahead of the crucial Liverpool encounter.
