The Makinde-Daura Presidential Campaign Organization has called for a comprehensive audit of the ₦15 trillion Lagos-Calabar Coastal Highway project following the recent realignment of its route.
The group says Nigerians deserve to know why the route was changed, how much has been spent and whether the contract cost will be reviewed.
The organization’s Director-General, Felix Hassan Hyat, questioned the government’s explanation that climate change and environmental challenges necessitated the realignment.
Hyat also alleged irregularities in the project’s planning and procurement, calling for the publication of engineering assessments, payment records and cost implications.
