Ekiti State Governor, Biodun Oyebanji, says his second-term administration will prioritise infrastructure investment to drive industrial growth and economic prosperity.

He stated this in Ado-Ekiti while presenting his State of the State address to the House of Assembly ahead of his inauguration for a second term on Friday.

Oyebanji said the government would focus on agricultural industrialisation and a knowledge-based economy through the state’s Agricultural Processing Zone and Ekiti Knowledge Zone.

He also disclosed that the state’s Gross Domestic Product rose from ₦2.4 trillion in 2019 to ₦4.6 trillion in 2023, with projections indicating further growth.

The governor said his administration had disbursed ₦11.7 billion in gratuities to 3,642 state pensioners and continued payments to local government retirees.
