The Nigerian Meteorological Agency, NiMet, has forecast dust haze and thunderstorms across parts of the country from today to Wednesday.

The agency predicted hazy conditions in the North, isolated thunderstorms and light rainfall in parts of the North-Central region, and moderate rainfall across several southern states, including Ogun, Ondo, Osun and Ekiti.

NiMet advised people with respiratory conditions to take precautions against dust particles and urged residents to secure loose objects ahead of strong winds.

It also warned the public against taking shelter under tall trees during thunderstorms.
