Manchester United’s poor run continued yesterday after a 3-nil defeat to Bournemouth at Old Trafford left them without a win in eight matches across all competitions.
The Red Devils have recorded three draws and five defeats during the run, increasing pressure on manager Michael Carrick.
Bournemouth, meanwhile, have won their last four matches.
United captain Bruno Fernandes was left on the bench and did not feature in the game. Carrick described the decision as a purely footballing choice, following Fernandes’ recent criticism of the team’s tactics after their 4-1 Champions League defeat to Como.
