The pan-Yoruba socio-political organisation, Afenifere, has constituted a committee to coordinate the burial arrangements for its late leader, Pa Reuben Fasoranti, who died on October 20 at his residence in Akure, Ondo State.

The committee was announced by Afenifere’s National Executive Committee Chairman, Oba Olu Falae, who said it would work with committees set up by the deceased’s family and the government to organise a befitting burial.

Fasoranti’s family has fixed December 17, 2026, for the funeral service and interment. The committee includes former Ogun State Governor Gbenga Daniel and former Osun State Governor Iyiola Omisore.
