Nigeria’s Ambassador to Germany, Senator Ita Enang, says Nigerians do not necessarily need university degrees to secure jobs in Germany, noting that vocational and technical skills can also open employment opportunities.
Enang listed driving, hospitality, welding, woodworking and construction among the fields where skilled Nigerians could find work.
He also identified visa requirements, professional qualifications and proficiency in the German language as major conditions for employment.
The ambassador disclosed that he was engaging German institutions to explore structured labour migration opportunities for Nigerians, including a possible agreement similar to those Germany has with India and Kenya.
